We are proud and honored to announce that Russia’s WelicoRuss has signed with Domestic Genocide Records. WelicoRuss was founded in 2002 by Alexey Boganov and in the past 9 years, have been growing into the tour de force reaching not only from Siberia and Russia, but onto the entire world. They have finely crafted masterpieces within the symphonic black metal realm in the studio and have amazed and entertained thousands throughout the lands.
With a consistent and growing following, Welicoruss will not relent in the studio and will promise to decimate anyone in their path on tour in 2012.
Domestic Genocide Records will be reissuing their past albums as well as their new album coming in 2012: “Wintermoon Symphony,” “Apeiron,” and “Kharnha.”
2012 promises to be a large year for the band and the world shall experience the power and fury of WelicoRuss!
The band’s sound and imagery is undoubtedly that of black metal; lyrics, concept and ideology are inspired by the ancient Rus lore, which refers Welicoruss to pagan.
The Siberian band delivers dark, intense and mystic sound that demonstrates how to impressively unite the contemporary metal with the dim and distant mythological past. Their music recreates the old Rus solemn and sunless atmosphere, expressing both national feelings and personal perception of the ancient Rus spirit through the lyrics. Devoted to their pagan heritage, WelicoRuss reflects in their compositions their admiration of nature and search for the hidden mysteries of the secret powers that rule the universe. This is what people are saying about WelicoRuss:
…has since crafted a truly epic sound that draws from Russia’s rich folklore and from a deep connection to nature.– (Апейрон) Blood or Love
…recall East Slavic mythologies based in a reverence for nature and in the noble warrior’s spirit.
– (Карна) Blood or Love
…is unapologetic about going full force into epic instrumentation and leaving black metal behind.
– metalunderground.com
…leaves the listener with a cold, antiseptic feeling after listening, like washing with pure alcohol.
- Metal Crypt
…The mysterious, spoken intro goes crescendo, for a moment there are new wave alike keyboards, passing into chopping riffs.
- Metal To Infinity

Hell yes! Слава Руси!!
